Hi There

I visited Asda Arrow Park to purchase a couple of pumpkins on 30th Oct. Unfortunately the store was out of stock. Looking aimlessly across the store Ian Johnston approached us & said asked us if we where looking for pumpkins. "How did you know I asked?" "You have the pumpkin" look he replied. He then informed us the store was out of stock. Most people would leave it at that, not Ian. He phone around & until he found us the quantity of pumpkins we were looking for. Not only that, but he ensured they were put to one side so they didn't get sold before we got to the store. He was jovial & showed outstanding customer service. It can't go unrecognised.

What Ian didn't know is that I was shopping with my neighbour & her son. They absolutely LOVE Halloween. This year unfortunately they had left everything to last minute because they have just found out, my neighbours mum, & sons grandma has been diagnosed with untreatable cancer. That is why everything has been left to the last minute.

Ian made us all laugh & raise a smile on our faces in the most difficult of circumstances.

I've been shopping in this store for around 17 year. I've often seen Ian, as I no know him, around. He is always very cheerful and willing to help. Ian is the epitome of what good service should look like & is so often lacking here in the UK.

Please can you pass on my eternal thanks to Ian for making a difference in a time of trouble & commend him for going above and beyond with customer service. Keep hold of this guy, he's special.

Many thank
Julia Lyons
