I have been going to this store since it opened and I love It the food is good the staff polite and friendly. I have never been disappointed and don't understand all the negative comments.
Parking is limited and food on the pricey side compared to Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury, considering the drive to get to the store in the first place. I like the lady on the bread counter who pretends not to see you and staff are not in evidence to ask for assistance, so all in all, a bit of a Damp Squibb!
I have to agree with the previous reviewer, I too was very disappointed with the cafe. To say it lacks atmosphere is an understatement. As it is adjacent to the automatic doors it suffers from a very cold blast of air each time someone walks In to the store . The food on offer is dull and at best average quality. What a shame, for a new store just establishing its place in the community. I would have hoped for better.
We just had lunch in this m&s cafe and were very disappointed with how freezing cold it was and how clinical and unpleasant it felt inside. Poor people working in the cafe were wearing jackets! I realise it's not the warmest day of the year but it actually felt colder than outside. They should really try to sort out some kind of heating if they want to keep customers coming back. Also, the food (sandwiches) was very evarage and this is the first time I have ever been disappointed with m&s food. We are definitely going to Costa (next door) next time.
