Being disabled, I have found the staff here to be lovely. They have been very helpful as I am on crutches. They have also been very professional in observing the separation guidelines, perhaps please and thank you don't go amiss in these weird times. I work with the public in health care and know just how vile the public can be. Thank you for making my weekly shop so pleasant.
I had the same experience as the previous reviewer while the cashier discussed holidays with the person before me who was obviously a friend. When I did get served. I was addressed as "Love", "Darling", "Sweetheart" all in the course of one checkout. I hate that, it's so unprofessional. She also picked up one of my items after zapping it, rubbing her finger over the packaging and commenting on it till I took hold of it. I agree that the East Street staff seem more professional and efficient.p
I had a nightmare in here....the lady on the till was serving her friend, and they talked....and talked.....and talked!!
In the end I simply asked " would it be possible that you catch up later perhaps on the phone....when you aren't at work?"
You should have seen her face...and the attitude when she did eventually serve me was very poor indeed!
On a positive, the store is clean, the man greeting at the door was lovely, and the cakes are lovely
Hey who am I to complain...and want to be served!!!
The low stars are for the poor service
I was given the wrong cooking instructions on the label for 2 fresh chicken schnitzels, and was told they were correct by the same person who'd served me. They were for chicken Kievs not Schnitzels. There was also no butter included. Probably will stick to the East St branch from now o
