As an elderly couple I ate breakfast here with my almost 90 year old husband while my car was legitimately parked in the Macdonalds Parking lot. Unfamiliar with this area proceeding to leave we then found ourselves in the the take away queue from which there is no escape. It took us ages to get to the end of the queue and explained to the very courteous server at the window what had happened and told her we did not need any take out as we had just eaten indoors. She was very amused and kindly gave us directions to Port Solent and indicated the directions to the car park exit. Within a few days we received a threatening parking ticket for having overstayed our time by 15 minutes. Very ambiguous photos of our car were included and no way to contact the parking company directly. What does MacDonalds do to help us with this £100 UNFAIR penalty?
Went through the drive through today. Firstly they were letting one side through and not the other. So waited about 10 minutes before anyone took my order then eventually got to the serving window and was told to park up in the car park. Waited a further 10 minutes no sign of a meal. Had to go into the store, where there was stillb no sign of my meal or order. I ended up getting a refund. Always find this Mcdonalds slow but today was ridiculous. They were fairly busy, but no where near as busy a Fratton McDonald’s on a match where service is always very prompt.
